How do we help kids?

ALL of our proceeds are divided and donated amongst a variety of children focused charities as well as identified individual children in need of help.

Some of our contributions are made to established charities that have a mission that is specifically focused on pediatric burn victims or brain injured children. We also contribute funds for the pirchase of specified and designated items, programs or facilities.

We also recognize that there are a number of children who have specific needs that don't meet normal or designated giving requirements. We do retaining a portion of our available funds to help these kids.

Once a child in need is identified to us, we will investigate the need through medical channels to validate the need, the type of help that is required and whether the specific circumstances meet our criteria.

At least one physician holds a position on the Board of Directors and has the responsibility of validating the medical information. Once this step is completed the remainder of the Board will meet to approve any individual monetary award.

NO funds will be given directly to any child or family member.

Laps Of Hope, Inc. will make contributions to defray documented medical expenses, purchase medical equipment or help make a home environment safe for a child in need.

We are a completely volunteer organization. Our expenses include promotion, typical business operational costs and race operations. Each year we will publish a full disclosure of all monies raised, race operations expenses and all of the donations that we make so that you will be able to watch our progress for yourself and feel good about helping support the mission.
